A Fine Stooge

Yesterday was the anniversary of the passing of Larry Fine.  Larry Fine played Larry of the famous slapstick comedy The Three Stooges, a show that was a television staple of our childhood in New England and still is for my family.  A Boston station, WSBK Channel 38, used to show it on Sundays (I don’t think they do anymore) and still has a New Years marathon every year–a tradition for many fans!  Not everyone is a fan of slapstick comedy (our Mom being one who isn’t) but, for those who are, The Three Stooges is probably the ultimate classic.

You can read about Mr. Fine’s life here:  Larry Fine biography.

I found an interview of him in his later years.  A very interesting history, enjoy:

Meanwhile, there is a new Three Stooges film coming out:

We will probably see it, but somehow, I don’t think it’ll quite measure up….
